Susana Capper is the founder of Discover Spanish Life. With a Spanish mother and an English father her education was fairly evenly split between years spent in the UK and Spain. Today, Susana’s spends her time between homes in Atlanta, Georgia and Bilbao, Spain.
For over 25 years Susana worked as an executive mainly in Finance and Operations, in many roles and in multiple countries (including CFO and COO roles in USA, China, Sweden, Spain and UK) with corporate giants such as Sony, Ericsson and the Coca-Cola Company.
In 2014 Susana left her corporate job as CFO for America with Sony Mobile Communications, in order to take a new career path. As well as working with Discover Spanish Life, Susana volunteers as a certified SCORE mentor, an organization whose goal it is to help entrepreneurs start up and grow their businesses
Having spent many years living in different countries has taught Susana two main life lessons:
The many different ways countries can be appreciated and the value of taking the time to explore off-the-beaten path, how locals would. At the same time she understands that to effectively do this one requires a knowledge of the country and language which is difficult to acquire without living in it.
And
To love Spain and its diversity and to want to share the richness of Spanish history, culture and natural beauty with others.
